The Opportunity:
  
We are seeking a confident and experienced HR leader to join the senior leadership team as Group Human Resources Manager. Based in Cairns and reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this role will lead the people strategy, support operational leaders and drive culture, compliance and workforce capability across the organisation. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be highly visible across the organisation, working closely with leaders and staff to build capability, strengthen culture and support training and development initiatives.
  
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Design and lead strategic workforce planning, HR policy development and organisational change initiatives aligned with business objectives.
  • Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary processes and workplace investigations.
  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies that support workforce diversity and inclusion.
  • Manage performance review processes and coach leaders on employee development, performance management and feedback conversations.
  • Identify capability gaps and lead the development or sourcing of training and leadership development programs.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, industrial relations obligations, and workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Partner with senior leaders and operational managers to promote consistent and effective people practices.
  • Develop, analyse, and report on HR metrics, providing insights and recommendations to enhance engagement and organisational performance.

Your Skills & Experience:

  • Extensive experience in senior human resources leadership roles within complex, multi-site environments.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, industrial relations, workplace health and safety legislation and HR best practice.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing people strategies that enhance organisational culture and performance.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proven experience coaching leaders and supporting organisational change initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and reporting capabilities, with excellent attention to detail.
