Our Client:
Our client is a respected, community-driven organisation at the heart of the aged care and healthcare sector in Far North Queensland. Their team is made up of professionals across clinical, care, hospitality and administration roles, all working together to deliver exceptional service in a supportive and values-led environment.
With ongoing growth and a number of important projects underway, they are now looking for an experienced HR professional to take the lead in shaping and strengthening their people function.
The Opportunity:
This role will take ownership of the organisations human resources and employee relations function, providing both strategic and operational support across the business. This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced HR professional who can confidently manage complex employee relations matters while also driving improvements in workforce processes, organisational structure, communication and people systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting leaders, improving workforce capability and helping position the organisation for future growth.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing expert advice and support across all aspects of human resources and employee relations, including performance management, disciplinary matters, workplace investigations and conflict resolution.
- Leading recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning initiatives to support attraction and retention of quality employees across a range of operational and professional roles.
- Reviewing and improving HR systems, policies, procedures and workforce processes to enhance compliance, efficiency and employee experience.
- Partnering with management to support organisational design initiatives, workforce restructuring and continuous improvement projects.
Your Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in a senior HR Advisor, HR Business Partner or Employee Relations position.
- Strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation, modern awards, workplace relations and HR best practice.
- Proven experience managing complex employee relations matters and supporting leaders through performance and conduct processes.
- Experience in organisational design, workforce planning, change management and process improvement initiatives.
- The ability to identify workforce challenges and implement practical, commercially sound HR solutions.
- Ability to develop strong working relationships with people at all levels of the organisation
- Demonstrated time management skills including the ability to set project priorities to deliver agreed outcomes
- High level of oral, written and interpersonal communications skills
