HR Administration, Training and Support

Temporary HR & Payroll role in FNQ supporting HRIS, onboarding, payroll, training, system transition with occasional regional travel. 4-day week!

We are working with a well-established organisation delivering essential community-focused services across Far North Queensland. This organisation plays a key role in supporting workforce capability and community outcomes through structured programs and operational support. The Opportunity
  
This temporary opportunity will see you supporting a broad range of HR and payroll functions in a hands-on, operational role. Working closely with the HR Manager, you will operate autonomously while contributing to key projects including system transition, onboarding and workforce support.
This role is suited to someone confident in HR systems who enjoys variety and is comfortable delivering training and supporting change.
  
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • HR administration and transactional support including contracts and onboarding
  • Supporting HRIS implementation and data migration from paper-based systems
  • Delivering basic training and system guidance to staff
  • Payroll support including timesheets, queries and general administration
  • Contributing to policy and procedure development
  • Providing general HR and project support as required
  • Occasional supported travel to regional communities with the HR Manager

Your Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience across HR administration and payroll support
  • Strong HRIS capability, including exposure to system implementation or data migration
  • Confident delivering training and supporting system adoption
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with key stakeholders
  • Strong administrative accuracy across contracts, onboarding and HR transactions
  • Practical, hands-on approach with the confidence to get involved across all areas
  • Strong communication skills and ability to support diverse workgroups
  • No formal qualifications required, experience and capability will be prioritised
