Site Administrator

Our client requires a highly adaptable and hands-on Site Administrator to provide exceptional support.

Our client, a locally owned and family-operated business, is considered one of Cairns leading electrical companies. They provide superior service to the Cairns region and surrounding districts, as well as Cape York and Western Queensland.
  
The Opportunity:
  
This is a permanent part-time position offering 20 hours per week, with flexibility on hours.  This role will see you provide exceptional administration and finance support to a multitude of internal and external stakeholders and be a first point of contact for projects, requests and permits.
  
Your duties include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate and record daily worksheets and other project records
  • Manage accounts payable/receivable, weekly payroll, and end-of-month payments/reconciliations using MYOB
  • Oversee GST, Superannuation, contractor payments, and create/manage purchase/work orders
  • Handle stock transactions, stocktake recording, and ensure financial compliance
  • Compile and maintain Electrical form 16, PDFs, drawings, SWMS, registers, and SOP as required
  • Administration of construction projects including council requests and permit applications
  • General support to supervisors including liaising with subcontractors, ordering materials, and organising rosters and schedules
  • Update and maintain accurate information across systems
  • Oversee maintenance correspondence and registers

Your Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years’ experience within a similar role (construction administration/finance administration is ideal)
  • Strong skills across MYOB, Excel and Word
  • Team player who can also work autonomously, driven, and self-motivated
  • Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Confident juggling a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Forklift license advantageous or be willing to learn.
