Our Client:
Safetylec Management Solutions provides practical, professional safety consultancy services, helping businesses minimise risk and achieve positive safety outcomes. Their services span Electrical Safety, Fire Safety, Construction Safety, General Safety and Risk Consulting, along with the delivery of nationally recognised training through their Registered Training Organisation.
Based in Cairns, North Queensland, Safetylec is a highly respected consultancy working with a diverse client base ranging from major corporations and government departments through to locally owned businesses. As the business continues to grow, they are seeking the right person to join their team and contribute to the next phase of their success.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a full-time, dedicated and motivated professional who is either:
- Currently working within the electrical industry and looking to transition into the safety profession; or
- An experienced safety professional with a strong electrical background.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think outside the box.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A willingness to work as part of a professional, collaborative and dynamic team.
- 10–15 years’ electrical industry experience within commercial and industrial sectors.
- Mining industry experience is desirable but not essential.
- Licensed Electrical Worker or Electrical Engineer preferred.
- Degree or Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering, or willingness to undertake further study.
- Qualifications in Work Health and Safety (WHS), or willingness to undertake further study.
- Auditing qualifications, or willingness to undertake further study.
- Training and Assessment qualifications, or willingness to undertake further study.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, including undertaking study outside normal business hours when required.
Your Skills & Experience:
- Degree or Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Qualifications in Work Health and Safety (WHS).
- Auditing qualifications.
- Training and Assessment qualifications.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
The Offer:
- $125,000 – $150,000 per annum including superannuation
- Fully funded studies, where required
- Fully serviced company vehicle
