The Opportunity:

A fixed-term opportunity has become available for an experienced Payroll & HR Officer to join the administration team and support all aspects of payroll and HR processes within a high-volume environment. Reporting to senior management, this role plays a key part in ensuring compliance, accurate payroll delivery and effective HR administration for a large seasonal workforce.
  
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with end-to-end payroll processing for a large workforce using MYOB, ensuring accurate employee allocations and job costings
  • Preparing payroll data uploads and maintaining employee onboarding, inductions and contract documentation
  • Conducting VEVO and compliance checks and managing employee records to meet legislative obligations
  • Supporting HR processes including issuing employment contracts, managing insurance and compliance registrations and responding to general payroll/HR queries
  • Working closely with the wider admin team to ensure workflows are completed and supporting communication with external providers as required

Your Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in payroll and HR administration, ideally in a high-volume or blue-collar environment
  • Strong understanding of employment legislation, award interpretation and workforce compliance
  • Proficiency with MYOB and/or similar payroll software, and confidence working with databases or Excel-based systems
  • High level of attention to detail, confidentiality and organisational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Adaptable and team-focused with the ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
