Client Side Project Manager

The Opportunity:

This is a unique opportunity for a driven and experienced Project Manager to take charge and ensure the project meets the client’s expectations across scope, schedule, budget, quality, and overall goals. The role involves close collaboration with multiple stakeholders and includes project planning, stakeholder engagement, design and procurement oversight, and successful project delivery.  This role would ideally suit a project manager with extensive experience working with both civil and built-form projects.


Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Manage the full project delivery lifecycle across two local community projects.
  • Work closely with both internal and external stakeholders including consultants, contractors and local authorities.
  • Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to specification, while complying to all regulatory and company standards.
  • Work closely alongside the Development Manager to ensure the coordination of projects with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors and local authorities to achieve the required development outcomes for the business.
  • Manage the end-to-end tendering process, including contractor selection, contract negotiation, and ongoing contractor oversight for successful project delivery.
  • Liaise with consultants and contractors to provide clear direction and ensure development progress aligns with business objectives.
  • Track and report on project timelines, budgets, risks, and opportunities, and support the development of strategies to maintain delivery within scope, time, and cost constraints.
  • Oversee the delivery of civil works, infrastructure, and built-form construction to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impact project outcomes or business objectives.
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements across all project activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders, including Sales, Marketing, and Community Management, to achieve key development outcomes.
  • Partner with the Development Manager to plan and forecast project activities, ensuring timely and successful delivery.

Your Skills & Experience:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields.
  • Minimum of seven years proven project management expertise across both civil and built-form developments.
  • Ability to interpret and manage engineering, architectural, and construction documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of QBCC regulations, building legislation, and standard commercial contracts.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Commercial acumen with experience in cost control and contract administration.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project (or similar) and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Confident working independently, making decisions, and driving project outcomes.
  • Highly regarded: Experience in master planned communities, retirement living, or multi-dwelling projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, risk, and procurement.
  • Familiarity with Queensland building legislation and local council requirements.
