What is your greatest source of enjoyment in recruitment?

I love the different types of people I engage with – you never know who is going to walk through the door! Meeting a wide range of individuals with diverse backgrounds, ambitions and aspirations is very inspiring. It makes for a very rewarding job when you can help an individual by successfully matching the right candidate to the client.

Where do you feel you add value to candidates who are looking for work?

For me, it will always come down to people. I have a lot of care and empathy when it comes to engaging with candidates and treating people with respect and care will always be very important to me.

What’s your work-related super power?

I would say my level of care, support and compassion would be my biggest value add when it comes to assisting candidates. I try to make each person I work with feel heard and valued.

Can you tell us about the most memorable moment of your career?

Having worked five years in executive search in Auckland, I had many memorable moments with lots of opportunities for growing and developing my skills. The longevity at my company and my willingness to try new things led to many memorable moments including completing my university degree whilst working full-time, working my way up to different positions in the company through my keenness and enthusiasm, and building long-lasting, meaningful connections with colleagues, clients and candidates.

Is there a specific project or achievement at CBC that stands out?

Going from being a candidate on CBC’s database to a member of the team was a valuable achievement for me. I am excited to continue my career journey in recruitment and search.
