Child and Family Practitioner - Temporary Contract

As the Child and Family Practitioner, you’ll mentor, encourage and support Parenting Consultants and Parenting Support staff to assist in the successful completion of programs.

The individual skills you bring:

  • You’ll have tertiary qualifications in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology or a relevant discipline and/or have at least three years’ experience working in case management of families with complex needs or in the delivery of family services. You are reliable, can work autonomously and you ARE ready to meet any challenge that comes your way;
  • You are amazing at managing and structuring workloads effectively;
  • You can use sound judgement and have the ability to think through complex issues, develop solutions to sensitive situations/problems and assess the impact of decisions on project outcomes.

Strong Families Parenting Consultant - Temporary Contract

As the Strong Families Parenting Consultant, you’ll communicate confidentially at all levels, fostering constructive relationships within the community to ensure a positive program reputation and develop local networks to promote activities and other initiatives for individuals, families, local community organisations and other relevant stakeholders.

The individual skills you bring:

  • You’ll have at least three years’ experience working in case management of families with complex needs or in the delivery of family services;
  • You’ll have well developed analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to apply these skills in case management;
  • You pride yourself on your negotiation skills to sell difficult/contentious concepts.
